Niyam Raj Shrestha is Lecturer of Public Youth Campus. His primary expertise is Investment and Tourism Business. Mr. Shrestha is a faculty member of Finance Department of Public Youth Campus. Mr. Shrestha had headed as a founding  Programme Director of Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management (BTTM) in Public Youth Campus. This programme was introduced at Public Youth Campus in 2009 AD. He joined in Public Youth Campus since 1998 as a part time lecturer and later on he wasconfirmed as full time faculty member. He served also as a member of subject committee of Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management (BTTM), TU.

Mr. Shrestha is well experienced in the field of Travel and Tourism business. He has gained the travel experiences in USA, India and Thailand. He also has visited and travelled almost all districts of Nepal and has experienced about the tourism destinations in Nepal. His participation in environmental education in Nepal through Environmental Camps for Conservation Awareness (ECCA) has energized himself to develop the school education by providing various trainings to school children and teachers. Similarly he also involved in crane conservation in Lumbini, Nepal where International Crane Foundation (ICF) has taken land on lease from Lumbini Development Trust (LDT) to develop wetland for Sarus Crane conservation in Nepal

Lecturer Shrestha has published an article entitled "Glamour in IPO Investment" in The Rising Nepal daily, which explains the trends of the Nepalese investor's behavior and how the investment in Primary Market is popular in the context of Nepal. He has also published an article entitled "Micro Finance Performance in Urban Kathmandu: A Case Study of Lumanti Support Group for Shelter" in PYC Nepal Journal of Management. This article investigates microfinance performance of cooperatives, which are established in slum and squatter areas of the urban Kathmandu. He has published article entitled "Non Perorming Loans and Stock Prices: A Case of Nepali Commercial Banks" in PYC Nepal Journal of Management in 2011. This article examines the effect of non performing loan and stock prices of 18 commercial banks of Nepal. Mr. Shrestha has also published the recently article on "Firm Size, Book-to-Market Ratio and Stock Returns in Nepal" in The Lumbini Journal of Business and Economics, published by Lumbini Banijya Campus. This paper was presented in Uniglobe College International Seminar on New dimensions and innovations in Management held on June 6-7, 2012 in Kathmandu. He also has presented a research work on Micro Finance, "Micro Finance Practices in Nepal" in the first Faculty Member's seminar in 1999 at Shankar Dev Campus, organized by Finance Subject Committee, Tribhuvan University, in his seminar paper, highlighted about the micro credit system of the country and its contribution to the nation's development.

In 1997, Mr. Shrestha is awarded with Master of Philosophy in Management (M. Phil) from Tribhuvan University. And currently he is a scholar of PhD in Management, TU. He also has served about a decade in Budhanilkantha School, a national school established by British Government in support to Nepal, which has Cambridge Education System, as a teacher in his professional career.

Mr. Shrestha has been doing the research on "Investor's Behaviour in Nepal" in his further study in Finance (PhD)
